Graduation fun

After 4 years of "wait, what is happening?", "no lol I have not started the assignment yet, you?", "That mentor of mine..." and "SAVE ME A SEAT!!", I can finally conclude my life as a university student.

I met some good friends along the way, who are now my life long friends and colleagues.
I had lots of help along the way, from meeting my tutors individually to complaining about the workload.
In the end, I still had to rely on my own effort to be granted a mortarboard on my head.

I have to thank two people specially, though.
My mother and the love of my life.

My mum would always hear me sobbing in my room during prac and she'd invite herself into my room sitting behind me quietly waiting for me to suck up all my tears, ready for a story time. All those nights of "you're still doing your assignment? It's almost 1am, hurry up and finish it so you can sleep". I swear as soon as I started uni, her first question was "so when are you graduating?". I did it mum!

Magnum on the other hand has two big fat words stamped on his head- EMPATHY and UNDERSTANDING.
I would come home complaining about my course work or what happened in school, he would listen and give me advice and encourages me to try and face whatever that's coming my way strongly. I realised so much, including my love for him.
Thank you.

What made you wanna become a teacher?
I didn't. I wanted to become an interior designer or an artist. But when I consulted my father all those years ago, he said teaching is the best choice for me. To be honest, I sucked it up and dealt with all the shit uni and prac gave me for my dad- as his last advice for me before his passing. I'm glad I stuck with it, deep down I wanted to prove all my primary school teachers in Ipoh that they were wrong about me and how they SHOULD really change their teaching pedagogy- didactic and boring. I will always be better than you and I know it, so suck it.

Anyways, here are some photos of my friends and I celebrating my success.
